Frequently Asked Questions

Thing to Know Before Your First Visit

Bones N’ Biscuits was built to serve more than just our facility. We’re part of a local community that cares deeply about animals, and we believe supporting that community is part of doing business the right way. When we can help local rescues, shelters, and community programs, we do.

What services do you offer?

Bones N’ Biscuits provides dog daycare, overnight boarding, pet spa services, and a limited-area pet taxi. Each service is built around supervised care, structured routines, and a calm environment designed for your dog’s comfort.

Do you require a temperament evaluation?

Yes. All new dogs must complete a complimentary temperament evaluation before joining daycare or boarding. This helps us understand your dog’s personality and ensures they are comfortable in a social environment.

Do you accept all breeds?

We do not discriminate based on breed. We focus on behavior, temperament, and social compatibility. Friendly dogs who interact well with people and other dogs are welcome to join the pack.

What vaccinations are required?

Dogs must be current on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations. Up-to-date records are required before any daycare, boarding, or spa services can begin.

How old does my dog need to be?

Dogs must be at least four months old and cleared by a veterinarian to participate in group play. Dogs are required to be spayed or neutered by six months of age.

What is a typical daycare day like?

Each day follows a structured routine that includes supervised group play, scheduled rest breaks, and calmer activities. Dogs are placed into playgroups based on size, temperament, and energy level to create balanced interactions.

Will my dog be tired after daycare?

Most dogs go home relaxed and tired after a full day of social play and activity. It’s normal for dogs to drink more water and enjoy a quiet evening after their visit.

Offer boarding for overnight stays?

Yes. Our overnight boarding program follows the same structured approach as daycare. Dogs enjoy supervised play during the day and rest comfortably in a calm, clean environment at night.

Do I need a reservation for boarding?

Yes. Boarding stays require reservations so we can manage space and maintain a comfortable environment for every guest.

Can my dog receive medication during a stay?

We can administer routine medications according to your instructions. However, we are not able to provide life-sustaining or emergency medical treatments.

Do you offer grooming or spa services?

Yes. Our pet spa provides gentle, calm grooming services to keep your dog clean and comfortable. Many clients schedule spa services during daycare or boarding for added convenience.

Do you offer transportation?

Yes. Our pet taxi service is available within a 10-mile radius of Bones N’ Biscuits, including nearby communities such as Farmingdale, Gardiner, Manchester, Chelsea, and parts of Litchfield.

What should I bring to daycare?

For daycare visits, all you need is your dog on a secure leash. We provide the supervision, structure, and environment they need for a full day of activity.

What should I bring for boarding?

For overnight stays, we may recommend bringing your dog’s regular food and any necessary medications. Our team will provide guidance when you schedule your boarding reservation.

How do I get started?

New clients begin by scheduling a temperament evaluation. Once approved, your dog can participate in daycare, boarding, or spa services.
